Awnings

Awnings for patio areas are a lovely addition to any garden and can really change the outdoor space into something special. Even though the weather isn’t too great at the moment, I have a good feeling that at some point it will change and we’ll be basking in the sweet English summer glow (fingers crossed!).

May really is the perfect time to get planning for your awning so that it’s ready for action when the sun finally comes along. You can always find inspiration when you come to our blog, so today we will be giving you some ideas for patio awning styles that you are sure to appreciate!

The most popular garden awning style is the foldaway awning. This design classic has been around for many decades and is commonly seen in the back garden installed over patio doors. The traditional fabric used for these is striped, and this is currently a big trend as our customers seek out iconic patterns for their awning in a nod to retro styling. However, a range of colours and patterns are available, with many people choosing bright colour blocks in yellow and pink to add a pop of interest to the exterior of their house.

For smaller gardens, terraces and balconies, our side awnings are a brilliant choice. These products are great for blocking wind and rain, as well as keeping you sheltered from the sun (and nosey neighbours!). Like our folding awning styles, these can be used to inject some colour into your garden and match the scheme of your pot plants.

The best way to find out about our awnings is to visit our showroom in Kingswinford, or arrange a consultation with one of our friendly staff. They will be able to show you all of the options available and measure up to give you a competitive quotation for your requirements. We find that May is a busy month for manufacture and installation, so to beat the rush, make sure you call us today!

Awnings are available from Castle Blinds. We also offer commercial awnings to pubs and restaurants, so please feel free to visit our sister site if you are interested in these products. If you would like to contact Castle Blinds, please call 0800 163429 and we’ll be happy to help you.
